I'm only watching this as I've got an interest in how Rice performs.
So far he's done ok doesn't look out of his depth and his passing generally has been spot on.

One bad pass to Carrasco I think near the end, but yeah, he’s been fine other than that. We all know he can play a more creative role but Southgate obviously thinks you only need one or two creative players in a team and the rest can just sit back.

Makes me laugh every England game people criticise Rice. He plays a different role for England.
Southgate wants him and Henderson to win the Ball and pass to our creative players whilst also offering extra cover at the back.
England have bigger problems than him.
Our back 3 is shocking on paper.

Even Neville basically said both penalties were won by a dive, oops sorry simulation. It just seems FIFA, EUFA and the leagues are not prepared to stop it. Eventually it will kill the game.

How is Rice having a mare ? he's playing a holding midfield position and laying the ball off ! he hasn't given the ball away so I don't know why you make such a comment unless you're on a wind up ?

Rice started well, nicked the ball off of KDB a few times early on, but started to struggle a bit. No doubt the twitter “experts” will pin the blame on him but he’s been better than Dier, Mount, Trippier, TAA, Rashford, and a few of the others too

The problem that both Rice and Henderson have is that Southgate clearly doesn’t want them to carry the ball. For their clubs they both play more creative passes and are comfortable running with it, but for england they both get rid of it ASAP. Shocking manager who is way out of his depth.
